Gospel at the center
Prompts and prayers shaped by grace: you don’t heal by getting it right first. Jesus Christ loves you before you get better—and he is the one who heals.
In development
A gospel-centered mobile app being developed to help people bring anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and shame under the care of Christ—so the peace of God can guard the heart and mind.
Where the name comes from
Peace Guard takes its name from a promise at the heart of Gospel Centered Therapy: peace that does not come from performing better, but from resting in Christ—the one who heals.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Peace Guard is not generic mindfulness with a Bible verse taped on. It grows out of the Stenzel Clinical counseling practice and Gospel Centered Therapy training: grace over performance, honesty about what hurts, and hope rooted in the finished work of Jesus.
The aim is to help users pray, give thanks, take thoughts captive, and rest in Christ—so anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and shame are met under His care, not managed by willpower alone. Good tools serve his work; being well grows as the fruit.
What we’re building toward
As development continues, Peace Guard is intended to offer curated Bible passages paired with brief gospel-centered prompts, prayers, and exercises—practical help that points back to Christ, not to self-salvation.
Prompts and prayers shaped by grace: you don’t heal by getting it right first. Jesus Christ loves you before you get better—and he is the one who heals.
Help for the places the mind races—anxiety, intrusion, shame—by returning again and again to truth, prayer, and thanksgiving.
Not calm as a performance project. Peace from God that surpasses understanding—guarding heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
A note on Scripture in the app: Peace Guard is being designed as a Bible-centered, Scripture-shaped tool. The specific Bible translation for the app is still going through the normal licensing process. We will update this page when that is settled—nothing here claims a translation partnership or final approval.
Who it’s for
Peace Guard is planned as a free mobile app from Stenzel Clinical Services, Ltd. (Wheaton, IL)—for people in counseling, for churches and counselors who walk with the anxious and ashamed, and for the general public.
It sits alongside Gospel Centered Therapy, not as a replacement for counseling or pastoral care, but as a companion that keeps pointing to Jesus Christ, the one who heals.
Status
You can open Peace Guard at peace-guard.grok.me. We’re still building carefully—features and Scripture licensing will keep updating as the app grows.
Peace Guard is still growing, and you can open the app here. Gospel Centered Therapy remains the fuller teaching and counseling doorway—Peace Guard is a companion that keeps pointing to Christ.
